Try Fundraising Cookbooks To Raise Money For Your Nonprofit Organization or Charity
Community cookbooks have been used as fundraisers for decades, and they are still as popular as ever. In fact, they are increasing in popularity due to the many cookbook publishing companies that now handle the entire process online.
Fundraising cookbooks can be produced by almost by almost any size group, club, team, or nonprofit organization. Churches are well-known for producing fundraising cookbooks. Women's groups and Junior Leagues also traditionally produce cookbooks.
Selling cookbooks is not difficult and can be used as a long-term fundraiser. The great thing about cookbooks is that they have no shelf-life and can be sold over a period of several years.
Cookbooks can be sold year-round and sell especially well during the holiday season. Keep a supply for sale in the principal's office at school, at your church or organization's headquarters. Fundraising cookbooks are not generally sold door-to-door, although you could try that. Ask local businesses, such as bakeries, video stores, and coffee shops to display and sell your cookbooks for you.
Any time your organization has an event or meeting you can display some cookbooks. If you have a bake sale, take some cookbooks along. Bake some items using a recipe from the cookbook to help your sales. Give cookbooks away as a raffle prize or use them as prizes in your auctions.
In general, it costs about $5.00 to produce a cookbook. Your organization can sell them for $10.00 to $15.00 a piece. To maximize the return on your cookbook you can also sell advertising space in the book to local business. If you sell enough advertising you may be able to cover the costs of printing and have a fundraiser that makes your organization a 100 percent profit.
Do a search on the internet you'll find many fundraising cookbook publishing companies who will help you create an attractive, professional-looking cookbook. Some of the companies will even feature your cookbook on their website and allow you to sell your cookbook from their website. As previously mentioned, most publishers will handle the entire publishing process online. You can view and choose, online, the cover options and other options that may be available such as tabbed sections and pockets.
Most publishers can provide you with starter recipes and pages with cooking hints to help make your cookbook more appealing. All you have to do is gather the recipes, upload them to the publishers and they will handle the rest. The publishers usually keep your cookbook records so that you can order more when you sell out of a printing.
If your nonprofit organization or charity is looking for a fundraising idea, consider publishing a community cookbook. People love to get involved and contribute their favorite family recipe and see it in print. Fundraising cookbooks make great gifts and become treasured keepsakes while preserving the recipes of your community

Customer Review: Best product for comic lovers ever
Complete run, easy to use. Love, love, love this product. Shame on you Marvel for cancelling the contract with the company that produces these. I have been collecting comics for 30 years and have a massive collection, but this product was awesome for new readers that wanted to read entire collections. Unfortunately, Marvel pulled the plug, so planned collections for Thor, Daredevil and others may never see the light of day. At least we got a few before they got greedy. Snap them up from Amazon while you can, there won't be any more made!
Customer Review: Reliving my childhood
While I've found that I'm too mature for some of the comic book silliness, this DVD has been a great way to relive my childhood. I had a small stack of comic books when I was a kid, many of them FF, that I read hundreds of times, but without ever really being able to follow a story arc because I didn't subscribe and lived in the middle of nowhere. It's been great fun to bounce around across decades of comics, finding the origins of Galactus and Dr. Doom.
The format, of course, isn't as cozy as a real comic book, but with a decent laptop, I've been able to relax on the couch with them anyway.

Customer Review: Seinfeld season 8
I was very pleased to find the tape of Seinfeld at Amazon I had tried to purchase it at a few stores and no one had it in stock. I took a chance since I was ordering it late as a present and it was wonderful to not only find the tape but it also arrived just in time to be given for a birthday present. So thank you and I will continue to use Amazon since I have really been happy.
Customer Review: Numanium
I have always been a huge Seinfeld fan and have to say the DVDs are a must. Even if you watch it eveynight like myself you still have to own them. Seasons 8 & 9 are by far my favorite. I actually think once Larry David left the episodes got better. This season is packed with some great laughs. I would have to say I love every episode but some stand out above the rest. I think the top three from this season would be; "The Millennium," "The Chicken Roaster," & "The Fatigues."

Peanuts: Easter Beagle Charlie Brown
Peanuts: Easter Beagle Charlie Brown
The thirteenth installment in the evergreen Charlie Brown animated series, It's The Easter Beagle, Charlie Brown, is a delightful romp through the rites of spring. The running gag that holds this string of episodic misadventures together is Peppermint Patty's futile attempts at explaining how to make Easter eggs to Marcy. Highlights of this rather surreal Peanuts outing include Snoopy's dancing with little bunny rabbits inside a kaleidoscope, Sally heading to the mall to purchase a pair of platform shoes (this video was made in 1974), and Woodstock's lavishly equipped bachelor-pad birdhouse. As with the best of the Peanuts cartoons, this will entertain children and adults alike, and is one of the last of the series to feature a music score by Vince Guaraldi. --Kristian St. Clair
Customer Review: Comes with Bonus TV Special
This classic story is as cute as ever on DVD and it comes with a bonus special...It's Arbor Day Charlie Brown...which is also really cute and perfect to watch in the spring. Buy and enjoy!
Customer Review: An Fulfilling Easter Treat
In IT'S THE EASTER BEAGLE, CHARLIE BROWN, Sally longs for a new pair of shoes to wear on Easter Sunday, Peppermint Patty attempts to teach Marcy how to die Easter eggs, Snoopy buys Woodstock a new birdhouse, and Linus tries to convince everyone that they should ignore the apparent hustle and bustle of preparing for Easter and stop worrying because the Easter Beagle will take care of everything. Linus' story reminds Sally of the Great Pumpkin just a little too much, but she wants to believe her Sweet Baboo. Complete with a familiar, though this time subtle anti-consumerism message and an unintentional allegory about faith, IT'S THE EASTER BEAGLE, CHARLIE BROWN is a spring-time treat that families can enjoy watching together.
This remastered deluxe version of IT'S THE EASTER BEAGLE, CHARLIE BROWN also includes a second television special, a special featurette, and a few trailers. The second Peanuts episode on the disc is IT'S ARBOR DAY, CHARLIE BROWN. Sally is given a school assignment to research Arbor Day. Her quest leads her to wanting to plant trees, flowers, and a garden. Lucy, Linus, and a few others join her and start growing a bunch of plants on Charlie Brown's baseball field. Charlie Brown is shocked when the season opener against Peppermint Patty's team rolls around and he finds his field has been turned into a garden. But, the game goes on and surprisingly Charlie Brown's gets a winning run and leads the game.
The featurette on the DVD is "In Full Bloom: Peanuts at Easter" offers an inside look at the creation of IT'S THE EASTER BEAGLE, CHARLIE BROWN. The featurette explores how the special came to me, Schulz's intentions in the making of the cartoon, what people take away from watching it, etc.
A must-have for Peanuts fans as well as a good Easter video that entire families can watch together.

Customer Review: Average sound
Unless your laptop's soundcard is not working, or your speakers are barely hearable I wouldn't recommend this. Odds are your laptop does as much as these speakers.
It is well built, looks resistant and it does a decent job. Do not expect very good quality.
Customer Review: Like it so much bought it for a friend.

Quickbooks Premier Nonprofit Edition 2008
QuickBooks: Premier Nonprofit Edition 2008 offers accounting and donation management tools tailored for nonprofits. In addition to saving you time on everyday tasks like paying bills and recording donations, Premier makes it simple to demonstrate financial accountability to your Board of Directors. Stay on top of your nonprofit's finances with nonprofit-specific reports that track program budgets and donations. With QuickBooks Premier, you'll have the tools and insights you need to make your organization a success.
Customer Review: Quickbooks needs to go further for non-profits
Yes, the non-profit version is better than the standard version. But how much better? I haven't decided. The terminology is still all wrong. Donors have to be labeled as "customers." You can't assign people to multiple categories. For example, if you have a vendor who also donates to the organization (very common in the non-profit world), you cannot list them in both categories under the same name. So you have list them in one category as "Jane Doe" and in the other category as "J. Doe" or "Jane S. Doe" or "Jane Doe 1." The process for accepting donations and applying them to a particular donor is far too involved. As far as I can tell, you have to make an invoice, then "receive payment" from them, then show that the payment has been deposited (and yes, you have to open up three different windows and put in the info three different times to accomplish this). That's way too many steps to go through for every single donation! I'm very tech savy and can intuitively figure out most programs (and I know Quickbooks, I've been using it in this business for the last 3 years). But for this version, I've ordered a help book. I hope it will help me address most of these issues (the program doesn't come with any manuals, and the in-program help section is 90% useless). I sense that this program should be able to do all the things it promises - like tracking donors and helping with thank you letters - but I haven't been able to use these options in a practicle way yet...
Customer Review: Quickbooks Premier NonProfit Edition
If you are looking for software that has good dynamic reporting for your donors this is NOT it. I was able to get the same reports out of Quicken for my donors. I have to manually change each donors name to appear on the top of their report. When you have over 100 donors and need to provide them frequent donation reports, this is not efficient. I reported this to Intuit. Maybe they'll improve this feature in the future.
